Q: Can I get an Instant Price and Availability?
Yes - We now offer instant availability and up to date prices. Rates are automatically and instantly calculated for both Europcar and Thrifty and will include any applicable one way surcharges, age surcharges, airport taxes for that particular depot.
Q: Can I Go One Way with NO Fees?
Yes - between major cities on the East Coast and within Tasmania one way rentals do not attract a FEE when the minimum period is reached. The System will advise if a one-way fee is applicable and if your city pair is possible.
Q: Do you have Images of Vehicles?

Q: Can I make Secure Internet Payments?
A:Yes the final page where you enter your details is a Secure page which we have a security certificate and Secure Socket Layer installed. We accept Visa & Mastercard and we do not charge you any fees for using a credit card.
Q: Do I need a credit card to book a car?
Yes, you will need a credit card to pay the rental when submitting your reservation request. You will also require a credit card to pay any balances at the time of pick-up and the security bond. If you personally do not have a credit card but can get someone pay for the rental and to go to the depot to pick-up the car, they can be the main driver and you can sign as an additional driver. Or you can get someone to go into a branch somewhere near them and do an authority to charge their card.
Q: What age can I to be to hire a vehicle?
You must be at least 21 years of age to rent a car from Europcar and Thrifty, however the vehicle type is limited.
Drivers over 75 years are permitted as long as a full non provisional drivers licence is held.
Q: What happens if I receive a speeding fine, Toll fine or parking fine?
The company you hire from will charge an administration fee on top of the fine or they may supply your information to law enforcement agencies, who will in turn issue a fine to your postal address, and they will still charge a service fee.
We advise if you live overseas that you pay any fines you receive before leaving the country. (If you are aware of them) Failure to pay fines received in Australia may result in refusal of a hire car, refusal of entry or cancellation of a visa on a return visit.
Q: What Drivers Licence requirements do you need?
The driver must carry a full driver's licence with a photo from their home country, if not in English or does not have a photo, a valid international driver's licence must accompany the original license. This cannot be probationary or a photocopy, as long as the normal license is valid and in English it will be accepted in Australia.
Q: How do I amend my reservation?
Your booking can be amended by clicking on the link on the left hand side menu "Retreive/Change" then entering your Rental ID/confirmation number OR your email address. Then follow the prompts.
