- Pentridge Prison in Coburg was once Australia's most infamous jail, housing some of the most feared criminals in the land. It is now an interpretative museum, rich in stories of its old inhabitants.
- Melbournes' first pub, the Golden Fleece Hotel, was built in Coburg, and today a plaque stands in its place commemorating that building. Great for a kodak moment!
